Introduction
He was the person who made the comic strip and movies, Charles Schulz! He was born on November 26, in 1922 in minneapolis, MN. He was nicknamed Sparkey and got that name from his uncle. He was the person who made the " peanuts " comic strip. Charles drew by hand all 18,000 peanuts comic strips that eventually appeared in over 2,000 daily newspapers in 75 countries. In late 1940s, he began selling cartoons to newspapers and magazines. He based much of Charlie Brown to his own childhood. They both had terrible Valentine's day's ,they both loved the little red-haired girl. they both loved their dogs and they were torrmented by bossy women also they were above racism,and they both died within 2 hors of one another.
The childhood of Charles Schulz
As a teen, he learned the art of cartoon from a corresponding course. He collected insults from other people and used them in his comic strips. He went to Richard Gordon Elementary school. Charles best friend lived right next to him and his name is Shermy Pepler and they were friends all their childhood. Charles was very picky about his pens and Schulz used a speed ball c-5 pen for lettering, and for drawing the strips he used an Ester brook 914 radio pen. His birth sign was a Sagittarius ( half human and half horse ).

Charles was drafted into the army in November, 1942 at the age of 20. He was put into specifically in world war 2. On February 1943 Schulz got a weekend pass to go visit his mother because she was ill from some sort of cancer. Charles was lonely in the army but he made a friend, Elmer Hagemayer, he was older then Charles and was a policeman before joining the army. Schulz's unit was sent to camp Campbell in Kentucky to join the 20th armored division. They spent almost 2 years there drilling and learnig to use machine guns.

Charles went to Central High School in Saint paul, Minnesota. The lowest grade is 9th grade ( freshmen ) and the highest grade is 12th grade ( senior ). It was founded in 1866 and their mascot is the minutemen. Their address is 275 Lexington pkwy n, St Paul, Mn 55104. Central High of Saint Paul, is the oldest high schol in the state of Minnesota, United State. He graduated from his art school on december 1st , in 1941. he graduated from there at 19 years old. In February 10, Harold Hughes, Governor of New Jersey, as born. In March 23, The 1st airplane landed at the U.S capitol in Washington D.C. In March 28 the 1st Microfilm device was introduced. In April 16, a German-Russian the soviet union. In May 29, Equador became a country. June 15, 1st ducked-billed was publicly exhibited in U.S. at the New York zoo.
Charles's Family
He had 2 sons and 3 daughters. Daughters: Amy, Meredith, Jill. Sons: Craig, Monte. Charles first wife was Joyce Halverson and were married threw 1951-1972. His second wife was Jean Forsyth Clyde and they were married 1973-2000. Carl Schulz ( Schulz's dad) ran a barber shop and made 35 cents for each haircut and extra pennies for shaves. Carl and Charles every now and then they would go to a drugstore to pick up newspapers on he way home. In 1943 Schulz's mother passed away at the age of 50 from cervical cancer. Schulz's mother died the day after her son visited her. In 1950 Charles's old flame, Donna Johnson Wold, broke up with him and she married a firefighter 2 months later.

He served in World War 2 but never actually to fire his weapon. He served as a staff agent with the 20th Armored division in Europe. He never let anyone see his comics strips. His favorite sport was hockey because he always liked ice sports also because MN is the state of Hockey.

On May 27, 2000, Charlie was honored by the National Cartoonist Society with a lifetime achievements award. He drew over 17,897 Peanuts comic strip and is actually a sport and puts a body in stress. After his death he received many honors , including the Congressional Gold Medal From the US congress in 2001. Charles comics showed in 2,000 newspapers in 75 countries and translated into 21 different languages.
